Why Posture Matters for Parkinson’s

Did you know that posture can directly impact balance, breathing and even energy levels? Many people with Parkinson’s develop a forward-leaning posture, which can make movement harder and increase fall risk.

Pilates helps strengthen the core, back and postural muscles, making it easier to stay upright and move with confidence. One great exercise for posture is the Wall Roll-Down. Stand against a wall, tuck your chin and slowly roll down one vertebra at a time. This helps loosen tight muscles and strengthen postural control.

Even a few minutes a day of posture-focused exercises can make a big difference! Who’s going to try this today? 🙋‍♂️
