The Mermaid

This is a lovely exercise to feel the stretch through the sides and helps mobilise your shoulder joints. The first leg position will challenge the hips and you need to focus on keeping the butt down, if it's not comfortable bring the legs to the front.


Start by sitting in standard mermaid position, arms in T position. Slowly lower 1 hand to the floor, taking the opposite arm overhead, return to centre and take opposite arm overhead. To adapt have the legs out in front.


Try this today and feel the stretch.
