Manage Your Cortisol Levels

🌟 Hey ladies! Did you know that in our late 40s, our cortisol levels gradually start to increase?🌟 Cortisol is our stress hormone and it tends to spike as we approach menopause. Cortisol is like your body’s stress superhero. Whenever you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, it swoops in, to save the day. 🦸‍♀️ But here’s the twist: it’s not just about stress. Cortisol is a multitasker, managing everything from inflammation, immune response and blood pressure. It’s like the Swiss Army knife of hormones! 🔪 When menopause hits and cortisol levels increase more it's like a double whammy of stress! Chronically elevated cortisol levels can have negative effects on health, including weight gain, impaired immune function, and increased risk of certain health conditions like heart disease and diabetes. There are lots of ways we can keep cortisol in check, reading a good book, exercise, Pilates or even a cup of tea. 🧘‍♀️ Remember, relaxation is key to keeping that cortisol beast at bay! How are you going to relax today?
