Can You Exercise with Parkinson’s?

MYTH: "People with Parkinson’s should avoid exercise." ❌ FACT: "Exercise is one of the best ways to manage symptoms!" ✅


Parkinson’s can affect movement, coordination and balance, but staying active helps slow progression, improve mobility and boost confidence. Pilates, in particular, focuses on controlled movements, breathwork and strengthening key muscle groups to keep the body moving efficiently. Whether seated or standing, Pilates can be adapted for all levels, making it a fantastic option for those in the early stages of Parkinson’s.


April is Parkinson's awareness month and to recognise this I'm going to focus on tips and exercises relating to Parkinson's this week. 💙
